OxyLED T-01 Touch Light Product Review

Hisgadget has a designed a touch operated battery LED light.  Touch lights are great for illuminating any dark area where electric lights just don’t reach.  Touch lights are also very useful as an emergency light, if the power were to go out you would have a secondary lighting option. The OxyLED T-01 Touch Light uses 3 AAA batteries and will last approximately 100 hours before new batteries are needed.

Operation and installation are easy.  To operate, install 3 AAA (not included) then to switch it on or off, touch the 2 pins you see illustrated in the picture above.  To install remove the backing of the two adhesive 3M sticky pads on the back of the light.  I can stick it on just about any flat clean surface.  It was fairly easy to remove and stuck on several other surfaces without losing it’s sticky adhesive.

When comparing lumens, it is not as bright as a flashlight (30 lumens) but the LED lights are spread out so it brightens a larger radius.  It produces about 20 lumens which is brighter then a 6″ candle (about 13 lumens).  When using only the OxyLED T-01 Touch Light for lighting in my 10×10 pantry, I can see all the food and can read most of the labels.

The light also swivel 180 degrees.  I add this to the bottom of my child’s bassinet and aimed the light toward the floor.  It’s just enough light for me to see what I am doing when I’m helping my little one fall back to sleep and soft enough to not wake up my husband.
